Hi, I’m Kiki Polo, a Los Angeles based portrait and branding photographer specializing in portraits, branding, and event photography for individuals, creatives, and businesses across Southern California.
My work focuses on people. I create images that feel genuine, thoughtful, and confident, photographs that reflect who you are, not a version of you performing for the camera.
My approach
Every session begins with connection. I work in a calm, collaborative way that helps people feel comfortable and at ease, whether they’re experienced in front of the camera or stepping into a session for the first time.
I don’t rely on stiff posing or formulas. Instead, I guide gently, pay attention, and allow moments to unfold naturally so the final images feel authentic and personal. Clients often tell me the experience feels easy, supportive, and enjoyable, and that’s intentional.
The goal is always the same, to create photographs you recognize yourself in and feel confident sharing.
What matters most to me is how people feel during the process. Many of the clients I work with tell me they’re not comfortable in front of a camera, or that they’ve never really loved photographs of themselves before. I understand that hesitation, and I take it seriously. My role isn’t just to photograph, it’s to create an environment where people can relax, trust the process, and feel like themselves. That’s where the strongest images come from, images that feel grounded, confident, and real long after the session ends.
Experience and perspective
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Photography and have worked across a wide range of projects, including personal portraits, professional branding imagery, concerts, and events.
My work has been featured on The TODAY Show, and I’ve photographed everyone from entrepreneurs and creatives to performers and event teams. That range allows me to adapt quickly, read situations well, and deliver images that serve both personal and professional needs.
A little more about me
Outside of client work, I spend a lot of time exploring Los Angeles and the surrounding coast, often with a camera nearby. Being active in the city and its environments influences how I see people within their spaces, whether that’s a relaxed beach portrait, an on-location branding session, or an event setting.
I’m based in West Los Angeles and work throughout Southern California, including Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Orange County, and Santa Barbara. Travel is available for select projects.
